URI Graduate Students in all marine and environmental sciences:


You are invited to apply for one of URI's Graduate Teaching Fellowships in
K-12 Education for the 2005/2006 year. All information and application

We will select 12 URI graduate students who are concentrating on marine or
environmental science.  Each GK-12 Fellow will receive full tuition
remission (excluding health insurance) and a stipend of $30,000 for May 22,
2005 to June 16, 2006.


Graduate Student Eligibility: The GK-12 Fellows Program is open to all
currently enrolled graduate students who are majoring in marine and
environmental science, marine affairs or resource economics (with science
background), and ocean engineering and technology disciplines. NSF
regulations require that GK-12 Fellows must be citizens, nationals, or
permanent residents of the United States at the time of application to the
program. Fellows must be fully matriculated students through May 2006.

Applications are due in the Office of Marine Programs no later than 4 pm on
Monday January 24, 2005.
