Fugro West in Ventura, California is looking to hire a full-time Survey
Technician for the marine survey department.  Fugro is an international
company, and the marine survey division specializes in all aspects of
maritime geoscience and engineering data acquisition, processing,
interpretation and presentation in support of the oil and gas, but also the
telecommunication and civil engineering industry, using the most modern
survey sensors and software and our own world-wide network of GPS reference
stations.  At Fugro West, the survey technician will be working with a
variety of sonar equipment including singlebeam, sidescan, sub-bottom, and
multibeam in a shallow water environment.  This person will work offshore,
and may be out from one day to three weeks.  He or she will be responsible
for setting up the equipment on the company's vessels or third party
vessels, running the equipment during the survey or driving the vessel,
processing the data upon return to the office, and repairing and maintaining
equipment as necessary.  Previous experience with sonar equipment and
knowledge of small boat handling is desired.  More information can be found
